Ronnie Edwards is a Licensed Professional Counselor who received his Master of Arts in counseling at Dallas Baptist University in 2008. He has experience working in public mental health, the college setting, private practice, and telephonic coaching. Ronnie is currently working as a Care Coordinator at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas.
Ronnie enjoys working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families working with a wide variety of issues. Including difficulties with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Depression, Anxiety, and Relationships. Ronnie also enjoys helping people learn life skills such as stress management, anger management, and improving one’s internal dialogue.
Ronnie’s preferred counseling style involves Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques. He believes in the power of being honest with oneself and others and how that honesty can positively impact one’s ability to lead a content and successful life. Ronnie has also been trained in the use of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a type of CBT that is primarily used with people suffering from PTSD.
Ronnie spends as much time as possible with his wife and children.
