Rachel is a Licensed Professional Counselor that received a BA in Psychology from the University of Arkansas and a MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas.
She has worked in a variety of settings including: non-profit, crisis intervention, group therapy, and insurance case management. Most recently Rachel served as the Intake Director for a Psychiatric Hospital serving adult and geriatric populations in addition to providing psychoeducational groups for teens.
Rachel enjoys and has experience working with adolescents, adults, parents, and families. Specialized training and focus areas include: adolescent girls, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem, family conflict, parent-teen communication, mindfulness, and art therapy (including sand tray).
Rachel believes therapy should provide an environment of acceptance, collaboration, and encouragement. She is committed in empowering others to: become enlightened in who they are, achieve personal goals, and find healing and in a holistic manner.
