Healthy Relationships Begin with Understanding
Our relationships shape nearly every part of our lives.
The relationship we have with ourselves influences how we connect with our partner, our family, our friends, and the world around us. When those relationships become strained—or when past experiences continue to influence the present—it can be difficult to move forward with confidence.
Whether you’re navigating addiction, anxiety, family-of-origin trauma, ADHD, mood-related challenges, or concerns surrounding intimacy and sexuality, Carolyn believes meaningful healing begins with understanding.
When we better understand ourselves, healthier relationships become possible.
Helping You Build Healthier Relationships
Carolyn is passionate about helping individuals and couples create stronger, healthier relationships rooted in trust, authenticity, and emotional connection.
She works with clients navigating addictions, ADHD, anxiety, family-of-origin trauma, mood disorders, and concerns surrounding intimacy and sexuality. She understands that these experiences often influence not only how we relate to others, but also how we see ourselves. Through compassionate, evidence-based counseling, Carolyn helps clients develop greater self-awareness, strengthen relationships, and move toward healthier, more fulfilling lives.
For couples, Carolyn creates a supportive environment where partners can improve communication, rebuild trust, deepen emotional connection, and strengthen intimacy. She also helps individuals and couples navigate concerns surrounding sexuality with openness, sensitivity, and respect, believing these conversations are an important part of emotional health and healthy relationships.
Carolyn is committed to providing affirming, compassionate care for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. She believes every client deserves to feel respected, understood, and supported exactly as they are.
Her passion is helping people create healthier relationships—with themselves, with the people they love, and with the life they want to build.
Experience & Approach
Carolyn believes meaningful change begins with understanding the experiences and relationship patterns that have shaped your life while discovering healthier ways to move forward.
She incorporates Family Systems Therapy, Gottman Method (Level 1), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), ADHD-focused interventions, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to create a counseling experience tailored to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.
Whether helping someone understand the lasting impact of family-of-origin experiences, supporting adults navigating ADHD, strengthening a couple’s relationship, or helping individuals and couples navigate intimacy and sexuality with greater confidence and understanding, Carolyn approaches every counseling relationship with warmth, curiosity, and respect.
She believes therapy should be collaborative, practical, and empowering. Clients deserve a place where they feel accepted without judgment, challenged with compassion, and encouraged to create lasting change.
Her passion is helping individuals and couples build relationships that foster healing, resilience, authenticity, and hope.
Getting to Know Carolyn
Carolyn believes some of life’s greatest gifts are found in meaningful relationships and the simple moments we share with the people we love.
Outside the counseling office, she enjoys spending time with her rescue dogs, Daisy and Lucky Luka, exploring nature through photography, cheering on the Dallas Mavericks, experimenting with new vegan recipes, researching family genealogy, reading, and visiting art museums and galleries.
She has a special appreciation for lighthouses. To Carolyn, they represent hope, guidance, and the reminder that even during life’s most difficult storms, there is always light to help us find our way.
Those same values—authenticity, compassion, curiosity, and connection—shape every counseling relationship she builds. Carolyn considers it a privilege to help individuals and couples strengthen their relationships, discover new perspectives, and create lives filled with greater hope and purpose.
