Every Challenge Can Become a Step Toward Growth

Life doesn’t always follow the path we expected.

A child age 10 or older may be struggling at school, finding it difficult to manage big emotions, or feeling overwhelmed by challenges they don’t yet know how to express. A young adult may be navigating anxiety, questions about identity, grief, trauma, or the uncertainty that often comes with new stages of life. Families may be trying to support someone they love while also facing challenges of their own.

Whatever has brought you here, Sarah believes you don’t have to figure it out alone.

When people feel understood, supported, and encouraged, they begin to see possibilities where they once saw obstacles. That’s where growth begins.

Helping You Navigate Life’s Challenges with Confidence

Sarah is passionate about helping children ages 10 and older, young adults, families, veterans, and military families better understand the challenges they’re facing while discovering the strengths they already possess.

She works with clients experiencing academic concerns, ADHD, anxiety, autism and neurodivergence, bipolar disorder, depression, grief and loss, OCD, PTSD and trauma, school-related challenges, self-esteem concerns, identity development, and major life transitions. Her approach is compassionate, practical, and tailored to the unique needs of each individual and family.

For children, Sarah creates a supportive environment where they can better understand their emotions, strengthen confidence, and develop healthy ways of coping with life’s challenges. She partners closely with parents to encourage growth at home, at school, and in everyday life.

For young adults and families, Sarah provides guidance through seasons of change, helping clients build resilience, improve communication, and move forward with greater confidence and hope.

Sarah also has a special appreciation for supporting veterans and military families, recognizing the unique experiences, transitions, and sacrifices that military life often brings.

As a bilingual counselor, Sarah is proud to offer counseling in both English and French. She understands that being able to communicate in the language that feels most natural helps clients feel more comfortable, better understood, and fully supported throughout the counseling process.

Her passion is helping every client discover that healing, growth, and hope are possible—no matter where life has brought them.

Experience & Approach

Sarah earned her Master of Education in Counselor Education from The University of Texas at Austin. Her background in counseling and education gives her a unique understanding of the emotional, academic, developmental, and family challenges that children, young adults, and families often face. She believes every client deserves a safe, supportive environment where they feel understood and encouraged as they work toward meaningful change.

She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Family Systems Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to create a counseling experience tailored to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.

Rather than focusing only on symptoms, Sarah helps clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and patterns while developing practical skills that encourage emotional resilience, healthier communication, and lasting growth.

Whether she’s helping a child build confidence, supporting a young adult through a major transition, strengthening family relationships, or walking alongside a veteran or military family through a difficult season, Sarah creates a counseling experience grounded in compassion, collaboration, and hope.

Getting to Know Sarah

Sarah is married and the proud mom of two boys, along with two energetic Australian Cattle Dogs. She enjoys spending time outdoors, taking long walks with her dogs, attending live music, staying active through barre, Pilates, and yoga, traveling, and spending meaningful time with family and friends.

A lifelong learner with a natural curiosity, Sarah enjoys exploring new ideas, discovering new places, and connecting with people from different backgrounds and cultures. As a French speaker, she enjoys being able to serve clients in both English and French while creating an environment where they feel comfortable expressing themselves authentically.

Those same qualities—curiosity, compassion, authenticity, and encouragement—shape every counseling relationship she builds. Sarah considers it a privilege to walk alongside children ages 10 and older, young adults, families, veterans, military families, and French-speaking clients as they discover that healing, growth, and hope are always possible.

Sarah’s Counseling Philosophy

“Growth doesn’t begin when we have all the answers. It begins when we feel understood, supported, and hopeful enough to take the very next step.”
