Lesley Craton, M.S. is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who holds a Master’s of Science in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas. She enjoys working with individuals from all walks of life and has much experience working with those who have experienced complex trauma.
Lesley is certified and a Consultant in Training in EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which is an evidence-based treatment that allows people to heal from emotional distress related to negative life experiences. EMDR has been used to successfully treat Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, anxiety, depression, addictions, complicated grief, stress, and pain relief.
She has received extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, which is an effective therapy for adults and teens with a history of trauma and/or who struggle with managing their emotions, difficulty finding joy, and struggle in interpersonal relationships.
Lastly, she enjoys working with couples and has completed Level 2 of Gottman Method, a research-based approach to help couples increase intimacy, respect, and understanding.
Clients can expect Lesley to take a compassionate, non-judgmental, client-centered approach, focusing on their strengths and future goals.
In her spare time, Lesley enjoys reading, exercising, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
