Elaine has a deep respect for her client’s individual experiences and provides a safe non-judgmental environment for clients to develop skills and insight to help them lead rewarding and full lives. She knows it may be difficult to reach out to make personal improvements but trusting her to help you is the first step. She believes her life experiences have helped her to be a therapist which allows her to appreciate a diverse range of issues, cultures, and individuals.

She completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington. She graduated with both a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Development and Psychology from the University of Utah.

She has worked in psychiatric hospitals, acute settings, intensive outpatient settings, case management and private practice. As a clinician she recognizes the need to continually hone her skills by participating in conferences and educational opportunities to help her grow as a therapist.

The areas of her practice consist of treatment for depression, anxiety, OCD, chemical dependence, grief, self-esteem, and recovery from trauma. She sees clients for individuals, couples, and family sessions. She chooses an eclectic approach to therapy which consists of solution focused, CBT, family systems, motivational interviewing, and thought field therapy.

Her interests outside of work include flying a sailplane, quilting, reading, and cross stitching on linen.
